The movement against state controlled internet in Turkey

Baris Fidanar from the Alternative Informatics Association. this is one of many organizations that oppose the ongoing efforts for state-controlled Internet in Turkey. They see that the problems with media control in Turkey and in Europe are increasingly becoming part of a global problem.
The governments are working on their own view of a 'secure' Internet, and we have to articulate and suggest an alternative Baris wrote in the announcement of his talk at the 28th Chaos Communication Congress which took place at the end of 2011. In May 2011 over 60 000 persons in all Turḱey were on the street to demonstrate against the internet filters. We asked him how they mobilized that much persons.
